Kendriya Vidyalaya Paluwas (CIVIL) IN DISTRICT BHIWANI(HARYANA) was established as a tiny sapling in FEB,1988 ever since it has grown into a huge and mammoth tree within a short span of time. Located amidst lush green environment in the East of Bhiwani, the school was initially started in temporary building. Now the school has the proud privilege of having a palatial building with all the facilities and infrastructure which are needed for supporting the academics and co-academics of the school. As detailed elsewhere, it is a matter of great satisfaction that the school has taken a big forward in academics, in sports, in CCA, and in extension services etc.
The school which is affiliated to CBSE New Delhi, is being run under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) which itself runs under the guidance and patronage of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The KVS is one of the biggest educational grids having about 900 Vidalayas in India and abroad under its warm paternal wings. Conceived basically to cater to the needs of the children of the needs of the children of transferable central govt. employees, the KVS has been successful in inculcating a healthy sprit of national integration among the students.
Ever since its inception, K.V. Paluwas has been in the top gear in various fields like academics, sport, extra curricular activities, extension and consultancy services etc. The school now stands tall and proud with huge super structure having one activity room, class rooms, 3 Senior Science Laboratories, 1 Junior Science Lab, 2 Computer Labs, 1SUPW Lab, 1 Resource Room, 1 Social Science Room and 1 Staff Room. The capacious school library is the nucleus of academic activities. More than four thousand volumes, 8 newspapers and 20 magazines are on the shelves.
We have abt 900 students and 42 members of the staff. The school provides academic programs in science stream and commerce stream at 10+12 level. Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Badminton, Kho-Khoand Basketball are played on the well-maintained playgrounds and courts. Keeping in tune with the rapid change in teaching technology, ours is one of the few schools where training in Computer has been started from class III.
In order to energies teaching with the information technology, the school has acquired the needful e-gadgets like 2 Computers, a DVD, an OHP, 4 Laser-Printers(1 colors and 3 black and white), MAGIC STUDIO, INTERACTIVE PADS, VISUALIZERS,a Scanner, LCD Projectors, colored T V and Audio Systems. In order to further enrich and strengthen the academics and co-academic programs, the Vidayalaya is tacking up the necessary steps to deploy contract-based faculty in the area of games, sports and computers.
An attempt is being made to empower each and the every subject with the gains of Computers and information technology. In the first stage, an attempt is being made to identify topics and units from the syllabus classes IX and XI. These topics and units are being developed through multimedia for proper presentation. Every teacher has been trained and encouraged to prepare computer aided lesson plans in order to make the learning easy, meaningful, lasting and interactive
The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four mission, viz.,
1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Concil of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indian ness" among children.
